I was healed through Christian Science of a bowel trouble...
I was healed through Christian Science of a bowel trouble which had baffled all efforts of doctors for over twenty-five years. When it first appeared it was not serious, but grew steadily worse from year to year, until it greatly affected my general health and finally arrived at that stage where something must be done. The doctors told me there was no way out of the trouble except through an operation, which would be of a delicate and dangerous nature. I applied to a hospital for admission, but was informed that I must wait some ten days before they could give me a private room, as they were full at that time. I was suffering severely and was very impatient of the delay. While I was waiting for them to send me word when they would be ready for me. Christian Science was suggested by my wife, and by others who had been healed. After a time I yielded to their wishes, and allowed a practitioner to take up my case. My belief at that time was such that I did not think it possible for a case of that nature and of such long standing to be healed by this method; however, I was finally willing to make the effot, which was a success from the start, and in a few months I was perfectly healed. My general health has since been good and I have had no return of the old trouble. It is needless to say that my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer of Christian Science, is unbounded, not only because of my physical healing but also for the great spiritual benefit I have received.
