It is with heartfelt gratitude that I desire to make known...
It is with heartfelt gratitude that I desire to make known what Christian Science has done for me. I had rheumatic trouble, which left me very lame: one limb was bandaged all the time and the other limb was helpless. I had tried several doctors, and they said there was no help for me, so I had made up my mind to bear the pain and suffering as well as I could, and I had many sleepless nights during the eight years of my suffering. I also had bowel trouble from taking so much morphine. My husband wished me to try Christian Science, as we had seen some wonderful demonstrations, and we decided to call a practitioner. I was healed of all my troubles in the first treatment. I took the bandage from my limb, and have had no pain or trouble since, and the limb which was helpless is as sound as ever. I can walk from my home to the services on the Sabbath mornings, though it is a full mile. I was healed in July, 1807, and have never taken any medicine since. I am well, and often wonder how I ever lived without Christian Science. I am so thankful to God, and to Mrs. Eddy, for even the little understanding I have of Christian Science.
Mrs. E. J. Watson, Bangor, Me.
