I was healed through Christian Science in 1889, after suffering from various diseases for several years. Among my difficulties was a catarrhal and throat trouble that had hindered my singing soprano for a long time. I also had neuralgic trouble, so bad that at times I was not able to do anything. Besides the ailments mentioned I suffered from stomach, heart, and lung trouble that kept me in almost constant pain. I tried doctors of different schools, with no lasting benefit, but the Bible says, "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint;" and this promise was fulfilled in my case.

I thank God for the understanding of this truth, which enables me not only to keep myself well, but to help others. I am also very grateful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for her unceasing labor for the whole world.
