LETTERS TO OUR LEADER

New York, N. Y., Dec. 21, 1906.

Dear Mrs. Eddy:—The article for the magazine of which I told you is finished, and as soon as a fair copy is made of it I have told Mr. Alfred Farlow to submit it to you at Concord for your final correction and (I hope) approval. I worked at it—and it was a labor of love—these last four days from 7 A.M. till 5 P.M. I was anxious to catch the steamer to-morrow, which should get me home in time for New Year's day, to join my wife, children, and grandchildren, who are all gathered together at my wife's old home in Norfolk. I felt it a great privilege to be considered worthy to be called upon to give my assistance at this particular juncture. It was a great pleasure at any rate to go to Boston, but it was a double pleasure to me to be invited by you to Pleasant View and to find you looking so well and happy in the midst of the peaceful and harmonious surroundings which form the beauties of your New England home. I like to feel that I have been of some use to you; and that feeling, combined with the remembrance of your kindness to me last Monday, will give me additional strength to continue to do my work—however humble it may be—for the furtherance of the Cause of Christian Science. I shall hope to hear what you think of the article.

Your loving and loyal student, Dunmore.
