I was always delicate from childhood and it was believed...

I was always delicate from childhood and it was believed I had inherited weak lungs, as my mother had died with lung trouble at an early age. I was unable to attend school regularly, and finally began to suffer terribly, and was under a physician's care. He did all he could for me, and for a time I seemed better, but at the end of ten months I was if anything worse, and my friends came to the conclusion that I had not much longer to live. At this time a friend told me of Christian Science and I gladly availed myself of the opportunity to go to her home and meet a Scientist. At this time I could not sit up all day, and could walk only a very short distance. After two weeks' treatment I walked a mile, and after nine weeks returned to my home needing no more assistance, and continued to gain in strength. I have been well ever since and have taken no medicine since 1891.
