At a recent joint meeting of First and Second Churches of Christ, Scientist, it was decided to disband the present organizations and reorganize as one congregation.
Several years ago I broke down in health with what was pronounced nervous exhaustion.
I send my testimony hoping it may help those who are seeking aid in Christian Science.
I entered the army in 1864, when I was nineteen years old.
I was always delicate from childhood and it was believed I had inherited weak lungs, as my mother had died with lung trouble at an early age.
I am perfectly well and happy to-day because of Christian Science.
The first experience which I had in Christian Science came with help from a dear friend, the first Scientist I had ever met.
For years I had tried to read the Bible understandingly, but seemed to get farther away from comprehending its truth, and during the last five years I studied various isms and ologies in the vain hope of finding something more satisfying than the orthodox beliefs.
I feel impelled to express my gratitude for Christian Science.
Having received so much benefit through Christian Science, I feel it time to add my testimony to the power of Truth.
