I have been healed of many ills since coming to Christian Science. Two years ago I had catarrhal trouble, and had some kind of a cold nearly all the time. This condition seemed to grow worse, and at last the doctor said my stomach was seriously affected. I also had very painful throat trouble. Two years ago I was healed in Christian Science. Jesus said, "The truth shall make you free." None know what it is to be "free" until they seek the understanding that will give them a true and harmonious sense of being. Last winter I was taken ill in the middle of the night. I did not want to call any one in the house, for they were not Scientists and I knew they would ask me to take medicine. I had a great deal of fear, but I was soon able to quiet it with the words from the 91st Psalm, "Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night;" and "A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee." I then fell asleep until morning. When I awoke I recognized all the symptoms of an old enemy, and hurried to a practi tioner's house to get help. I stayed there till late in the afternoon, then went out into the snow and cold with a thankful heart. I had never before been as sick as that without going to bed for a week or more. The next day I was perfectly well, and went to church.

When I first asked for physical help in Christian Science I felt sure that I wanted nothing more, for I had been a member of an orthodox church since I was twelve years of age. When my father died, four years ago, my orthodox religion did not comfort me, but Truth as revealed in Christian Science has made me happy and I am glad I am learning to know what is good.
