I desire to express my gratitude for Christian Science

I desire to express my gratitude for Christian Science. It is now eight years since I first heard of it. I did not take it for the healing, although I was in a very bad condition physically at the time. I had been "converted" in the old way, but was entirely unsatisfied with the result. I had been praying for ten years for peace, but could find no rest. My thought was ever reaching out for something, I knew not what, when a friend read to me the Lord's Prayer with the spiritual interpretation as given in the Christian Science text-book. I instantly saw that heaven was not a place far away, but a state of consciousness wherein I might dwell now; that my Saviour was Christ, Truth, and so ever-present. I was instantly healed of mental depression and of liver and kidney trouble, although I had not been told anything about the healing. A fortnight after this I had one treatment for an internal trouble. I was healed at once, and my wrist, which had been out of place for about twelve years, was healed during the treatment. At one time my little boy swallowed a quantity of bleaching fluid; he at once manifested great suffering, but he had treatment and in a few minutes was relieved. In half an hour he left home to attend a gathering with his father, perfectly well. While in the park he was very hungry, and ate two large sandwiches. There was no soreness or tenderness left. I have seen many wonderful cases of healing, both of sin and of sickness. I thank God for sending me this great light; it has made me a better mother and wife. I shall ever be grateful to dear Mrs. Eddy for bringing to us this wonderful truth in such a way that all may understand it.
