Christian Science came to my notice about six years ago...
Christian Science came to my notice about six years ago, when my mother was greatly benefited after the physicians had failed to relieve her suffering, which she had endured for fifteen years. We were all very grateful for this proof, but while I thought Christian Science all right for any one who needed it, I had always enjoyed fairly good health, and that was all I wanted. I, however, attended services at intervals, and the time came when I looked at things differently. I was not satisfied with myself or anything, although I had every opportunity to enjoy myself. I would give up my position, go away from home, stay only a short time, until the same conditions would appear, when I would come home again. This state of affairs continued until I started to study the truth for myself, when I soon became interested, and forgot my old condition. I now have a longing to grow each day, that I may help others. I attend the services regularly and can testify to the blessings which come by so doing. I have seen many proofs of the power of divine Love to destroy sickness and all forms of inharmony.
I cannot close without expressing my profound gratitude to God, and to our beloved Leader. I know that only by deeds can I ever prove my thankfulness.
Matthew T. Bayle, Altoona, Pa.
