The (Houghton, Mich.) Mining Gazette
A critic has said that he considers Christian Science a dangerous heresy, and he therefore warns his people against it. Paul in his speech before Felix said, "After the way which they [the high priests and others] call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers." By this same heresy of Paul, Christian Science is willing to stand or fall.
Some old writer has said that should one attempt to study the New Testament with a sense of hatred or bitterness towards Jesus Christ, it would be impossible for him to derive any understanding from it.
We learn in Christian Science that mortals sin continually because they are ignorant of what sin really is, and we learn first of all that the first and foremost sin of mankind is a belief in a power apart from God. From this follows the whole train of evils.
