I wish to testify to my gratitude for Christian Science
I wish to testify to my gratitude for Christian Science. Three years and a half ago I was subject to chronic attacks of grip and tonsilitis, also nervous headaches. These are now past experiences, and it is due to the study and application of the truth made known to us by our dear Leader. Mrs. Eddy. From my birth I was subject to many forms of throat and intestinal disease, being especially susceptible to the after-effects laid down by materia medica. Now the short attacks which occasionally present themselves are overcome, with no after-effects from which to recover. My early religious belief had only an emotional influence upon me. Now I know that in God, good, there is no sorrow, sickness, or death, and this fills me with joy.
I was walking down one of the steep hills in our city not long ago, and my foot turned under, throwing me upon my hands and knees. I recovered myself at once, and declared the Truth of being. I was able to walk some distance and attend to some business, but when I had taken a car to a suburban town I found that I was unable to step upon my foot without great suffering. At the end of a half hour's ride I telephoned to a practitioner of my condition, and then walked three blocks to my house, preparing the evening meal when I reached there. Although I suffered much during the evening, and found the limb swelled badly, I restod most of the night, and when I awakened the swelling and pain were gone. I was able to perform my duties, standing many hours on my feet without any inconvenience.
For this and many other evidences of the power of God through Christian Science, I am thankful.
