Christian Scientists claim nothing for themselves, but all...
Charlevoix (Mich.) Courier
Christian Scientists claim nothing for themselves, but all for God, even as Jesus said, "I can of mine own self do nothing." This being the case, we must take our position on our understanding of the power of God: either that He is omnipotent or that He is not. The Scriptures declare His omnipotence. Jesus" words were, "All things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing [understanding], ye shall receive."
Christian Scientists are daily proving these words to be true, and know that as man grows in spirituality and in a higher understanding of God, and man's relation to Him, greater works shall still be done in accordance with the promises. Jesus healed leprosy in defiance of material law. The command "Heal the sick" makes no distinction as to disease.
One trouble with some critics of Mrs. Eddy's works is that they confuse the capitalized word "Mind," which signifies God, with the so-called human mind.
