I first heard of Christian Science about fifteen years ago...

I first heard of Christian Science about fifteen years ago, and was narrow enough to ridicule many of the thoughts found in the literature, simply because I did not understand them. I then needed but little medicine and was a member of an orthodox church, so Christian Science did not appeal very strongly to me. Had I at that time accepted it, many of the bitter experiences which followed "boyhood's days" would have been unnecessary. I have found in Christian Science a remedy for tonsilitis, which had held me as a slave for about ten years, and which often required the surgeon's knife, to say nothing of medicine. Other troubles have been overcome by this truth as given in our text-book, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. While scarce six months have passed since I began the study of Christian Science, I am indeed thankful for the understanding already gained, and to all those who are traveling the rough and rugged road I would recommend Christian Science as the "Good Samaritan."—J. Raymond Prosser, Haywards, Cal.
