Thus
sang the ancient Psalmist, and through the study of Christian Science I have come to realize how much has been done for my soul,—my consciousness,—and this is proved in a new sense of all that comes up in daily experience.
In confirmation of the homely truth that there is much of good in the worst of men, comes the assertion of Judge Cowing of the New York Court of General Sessions, that in his twenty-seven years' experience on the bench, sitting at the edge of the never-ceasing stream of crime and vice and evil, he has "found in every man more to praise than to condemn.
Christian Science does not deny that the physical body is real and tangible to the mortal senses, nor that its suffering is real to those senses, but it does deny that they are real to God, or to His image and likeness, the perfect man.
Members of our Church that have not read the By-law, "Duty to God," in the issue of our Sentinel of December 16, 1905, are not amenable for disobeying it until they have read it, but they will be thereafter.
The
healing of the sick through Christian Science is now largely acknowledged and accepted as the legitimate outcome of the teachings of Science and Health, but many who are cognizant of this healing are not so well informed regarding the reforming and spiritualizing effect the teachings of this book have had upon a large number who had drifted away from their faith in God and to whom the Bible had become a closed book.
If I could only frame words that would find some willing and listening ear, words that would turn some weak and heavy-laden one from the false and unreal to the true and real, how gladly and willingly I would do it; however, this effort is one of the ways in which I can express my gratitude to God, and to Mrs.

Before I heard of Christian Science I was treated for three years by one of the best oculists in New York State for astigmatism and a complication of diseases of the eyes.
It is now more than five years since the plague of consumption was stayed in our family by Christian Science, and I think it time to send in my thank-offering, out of love to God, and loyalty to our beloved Leader, Mrs.

About four years ago, a very dear friend, who had been healed of a so-called incurable disease, advised me to read Science and Health, and said that it would enable me to lay aside the glasses which a specialist had declared I could never go without, as I had a very bad case of astigmatism.
I was left an orphan at the age of ten years, and hardly knew anything of a loving mother's care, so I grew up wild, without any thought for the future or for a higher, better life.
