If I could only frame words that would find some willing...
If I could only frame words that would find some willing and listening ear, words that would turn some weak and heavy-laden one from the false and unreal to the true and real, how gladly and willingly I would do it; however, this effort is one of the ways in which I can express my gratitude to God, and to Mrs. Eddy. I realize more and more, as I gain an understanding of the truth of Christian Science, the divine guidance of our dear Leader, and the efficacy of Truth "to save to the uttermost," from sickness as well as sin. Since I have been in Science I have not had so many attacks of sickness as I had in the old thought, and what I have had I have been able to meet; Truth has made me "more than conqueror."
The liquor habit, of which I was a victim for about nineteen years, is now no more a temptation to me than if I had never yielded to it; the smoking and chewing of tobacco has been overcome, as have other errors, such as profanity, anger, judging, condemning, etc. While "the old man with his deeds" has been put off to a great extent, there is still room for improvement, and it requires constant watch-fulness on my part lest I "enter into temptation." As a safeguard the Bible, Science and Health, the Sentinel, and the Journal are indispensable.
W. E. Lowe, Connersville, Ind.
