It is with humble, loving gratitude to God, that I acknowledge...
It is with humble, loving gratitude to God, that I acknowledge the great benefits I have received since hearing of Christian Science. I left England sixteen months ago, to visit my sister living in Vancouver, B. C., and during the journey I stayed with some relatives in Ontario. Here it was that Science and Health was put into my hands, and before I had finished reading the first chapter, I knew it was the truth I had been longing for, and seeking, some time. A deep sense of overwhelming gratitude filled my consciousness, and ere I was aware of it, a physical trouble, which I had had for seventeen years, was healed. All I could say was, Oh, it is wonderful! No words can ever express my feelings, as with silent footsteps I entered this new world of Spirit, and though I have since had to come down from the Mount of Transfiguration, and work my way up, that same abiding peace has remained. I can say that the voice of Truth is becoming clearer all the time, and my prayer is that I may become more and more like a little child, in order to enter the kingdom of heaven. I have been healed of indigestion through the study of our textbook, and though at times other old ailments have tried to assert themselves, through the loving and faithful work of a practitioner here they have been reduced to nothingness.
I am grateful for the physical healing, but it is as nothing when compared to the spiritual uplifting. I am thankful to God, and to our dear Leader, through whom has come the revelation of this truth which Jesus said should set us free. It is my ever-increasing desire to reflect the love of our Father-Mother God, so that others may be led to enter this promised land of peace and rest.
Beatrice Hutchinson, Vancouver, B. C.
