I wish to express my gratitude to God for Christian Science,...
I wish to express my gratitude to God for Christian Science, also my thanks to Mrs. Eddy for her untiring love and faithful labor for all the world. Words cannot tell the gratitude I feel in my heart, but I will strive to let my life and deeds prove it. I was scalded seriously by an explosion of boiling water. I had placed a gallon pail of water, which was air-tight, on the stove. The moving of the pail to one side caused the explosion. The boiling water went all over my face, and I was unconscious for a few moments. After I became conscious I began to realize the truth at once, but my face was swollen and my eyes were closed for three days. With my own realization of the truth and my mother's help in declaring it, my face did not blister at all, for by the power of God my face and eyes were healed in a week's time. Only those who were around me and witnessed the terrible occurrence, can understand how wonderful my healing was. How beautiful it is to read understandingly the Master's words, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." It has indeed made me free and led me to love God.
Miss Tillie Pegorek, Oxford Junction, Ia.
