I shall never forget the sense of freedom and joy that came to me after having read for the first time "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. This was more than ten years ago. Before the reading of the book was half finished I found that I was free from headaches—a trouble which I had from childhood. Other ailments, such as rheumatism, neuralgia, and heart trouble, left me. Later a throat difficulty was overcome with the aid of a practitioner and the study of our text-book. To know that one can be free from the drug habit brings great joy, but best of all are the spiritual gifts and the understanding of God's word that comes to us through the study and practice of Christian Science.

I am thankful to God, and very grateful to our Leader for her loving, patient work.
