When quite young I formed habits that were in direct opposition to the teachings of Christ Jesus, and when told that they were sinful, my excuse was that I was just as God had made me. Years passed, and our only child was taken from us. My wife said God had taken her, and I thought it was the wrath of God that had taken our darling little girl on account of my sins. I then joined a church and tried to live a Christian life. I remember the consoling words of the minister who spoke of the love which Jesus had for little children. Time passed and I found myself in the same old rut, and thinking all the time that I could not help myself. I moved to another city, but my thought did not change until I read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. As I studied it, I found that God never made a sick and sinful man, and I also learned what it means to be God's child and a joint heir with Christ in everything that is harmonious. I may never see Mrs. Eddy, but the thought of that exalted woman will always have a place in my heart, and inspire me to keep the Commandments and live up to the teachings of Christian Science. — W. M. Camp, Clinton, Ill.
