It is nearly live years since I became interested in Christian Science, and we have had many beautiful demonstrations in our family. In the first place. I was healed of a trouble of ten years' standing, with three weeks' treatment. My husband and little girl were also treated at the same time, he being healed of a severe stomach trouble of several years' standing, and my little girl was healed of chronic constipation. She was at that time five years old, and had been troubled with this since she was two weeks old. I had two children before coming into Christian Science, and had a great deal to endure. I had to undergo very severe treatments from physicians, and was not able to do my work for five months and sometimes longer after my babies were born, but when our baby was born to us after we were in Christian Science, I got up the second day and walked to the dining-room and ate dinner with the family. We can only give God the praise, for in Him is our strength and health. There is another demonstration which I mention. My husband slipped on the ice and injured his hip so that he was compelled to use crutches, and he seemed to be in great pain. I gave him a treatment and in a few moments he was resting easy and was soon sound asleep. Next morning he thought it best to have assistance, so he procured the services of a practitioner, and in the course of five days he laid his crutches aside. We are thankful for this blessed truth which makes us free and happy and gives us a true understanding of God and our relation to Him. I never understood the Bible, and it seemed an uninteresting book to me. I read it, though, because I thought it my duty to do so. I now read it in altogether a new light, in connection with our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. We cannot be too thankful for Christian Science and the many blessings we have received through this understanding. Language is inadequate to express my gratitude for this wonderful truth which has been revealed to us by our dear Leader.
