Looking back over eleven years, I discern that each day...
Looking back over eleven years, I discern that each day since I began to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I have gained some good; and in proportion to my faithfulness to its teachings, I have reaped spiritual and physical blessings. Through it I have come from invalidism and never-ceasing pain to normal health. I am grateful to parents who reared me in an environment which enabled me to gain all there was to be gained from faithfulness to the teaching, but my questions were never answered to my satisfaction. I groped in darkness, and caught at everything that promised light, until Science and Health was offered me. Since then the way has many times seemed dark, but from afar I have always discerned that first gleam of light, and I have been encouraged to toil on.
Science and Health and Mrs. Eddy's other writings teach me my true responsibility as a mother; and how good it is to know that if we are faithful, our children need never cry vainly for light.
Mrs. Louise Sherwood Andrews, Chicago, Ill.
