Christian Science is a demonstrable religion, which when understood, reforms the sinner and heals the sick. Unless one can furnish these fruits as proof of his understanding of the subject, one has not the right to attempt its explanation. It is essentially a religion, not so much of words as works; and these works are more eloquent and convincing than could be any contest or combat of words which human ingenuity might display. Columbus might have debated with his opponents his belief that the earth is a sphere till the end of his days, with little benefit to humanity, but he chose the wiser course, and made his voyage of investigation, which discovered a new world and demonstrated the truth of his teaching. Christian Science illumines the Scriptures, thus revealing the world of Spirit, which, though intangible to the senses, may be discovered by the unbiased Christian who can learn what Christian Science is and what it is accomplishing for the liberation of humanity.
