I wish to recount a few of the innumerable blessings that have come to me through Christian Science, and to thank the contributors to the Sentinel for the many helpful testimonies and articles they have given us through its columns.

In October, 1890, our family removed from Dubuque, Ia., to Colorado Springs, and at that time I had been afflicted for more than a year with a sense of confusion in the brain, which affected my memory and the nervous system so seriously that, so far as possible, I avoided visiting or receiving friends. The case baffled both our family physician and a specialist, and life became a burden to me. Our physician said I required a change, and that going to Colorado would probably cure me.

Soon after we arrived there, the complaint disappeared, and I supposed I was permanently cured; but the following spring (1891), it returned, and I consulted a doctor who treated me constantly during the summer. I did not improve, and having heard that glasses were sometimes beneficial in such cases, I finally asked the doctor if he did not think my eyes were affected. He replied that perhaps they were, and recommended an oculist, who told me that I had astigmatism, and supplied me with glasses, but no benefit resulted. The following winter I accompanied our family on a trip to the Pacific coast, hoping the change would benefit me, but I was no better when we returned.
