[Written for the Sentinel. ]

"He Calleth Thee"

IN blindness dost thou sit beside the way?
And dost thou fear?
With love divine, e'en as of old,
Thy Lord draws near.

The Way, the Truth, the Life, dost thou
Desire to see?
"Be of good comfort; rise;
He calleth thee."

Thy garment cast aside; arise;
Come near the light,
The voice of Love divine now cries,
"Receive thy sight."

O vision blest, the Lord to see!
O Light Divine,

Shine out with Love's infinity,
Forever shine.
