Letters to our Leader

Cleveland, O., May 11, 1904. Rev. Mary B. G. Eddy, Concord, N. H.

Beloved Leader: — We acknowledge with much joy and pleasure your message of gratification over the dedication of our church edifice, and appreciate your words of loving cheer and admonition. As the Christian Scientists and their friends gathered together "With one accord in the upper room" — our auditorium — which was filled to its capacity at two services on Sunday last, your letter was read to waiting hearts and received the response of deep thanksgiving. It was appreciated more than our poor acknowledgment can express, but the glow of satisfaction which pervaded each audience of about nine hundred told the story of their love for the Cause of Christian Science and for its beloved Leader.

We know that our dedication has been possible only because of your revelation of the teachings of the Christ, and your constant, unparalled example of exalted purpose "leading up to divine heights."
