The Use or Misuse of Time

The Scriptural statement that man must work out his own salvation invests time with vital interest and value for him who would achieve that salvation, for his ultimate triumph over evil will be hastened or deferred according to the right or wrong use he makes of his time.

A Floral Lesson

I have a beautiful hydrangea which I call my Christian Science plant because it was raised from a little, crushed and wilted slip, and because it has reminded me so forcibly of the passage of Scripture which says that God made "every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew.

Regarding Evil

I should be very happy if the story of my healing by Christian Science treatment were to serve the purpose of helping some one else out of trouble as I was helped in my hour of great need; for my case certainly was man's extremity which is always God's opportunity.
