It is nearly two years since I was healed by Christian Science

It is nearly two years since I was healed by Christian Science. About three years before this time, I heard of Christian Science through my uncle who gave me Science and Health, but I did not then understand it. I showed it to my pastor, and he looked it over and said it was too much for him, so I gave it up. I had been under the care of several doctors, having been an invalid for a good many years. I was troubled with acute indigestion, heart trouble, and spinal trouble: had also been through an operation, and had received but very little help. When my uncle told me of Christian Science he then had a very severe ailment, and I told him that when he was healed I would believe in it. Two years ago Thanksgiving time, he came to spend the day, and told me he was well,—healed by Truth. I then said, "I believe it." A few days after this I was taken worse, and the doctors could not do any more for me. I then decided to try Christian Science. I went to my uncle and asked for treatment, if there was help I wanted it.

At the first treatment I felt God's presence, and something seemed to tell me that I was going to be healed: it was a glimpse of heaven. In two weeks' time I came home a well woman,—the truth had made me free. My husband accepted Christian Science at the same time and was healed of a tumor, also a rupture. Now when error creeps in we know that "Divine Love always has met, and always will meet, every human need" (Science and Health, p. 494).
