The practice of Christian Science, is a form of pure Christianity, relying absolutely upon God, Spirit, as the source and basis of its healing, and upon the teaching and practice of Jesus Christ as the only guide for its achievements. Therefore, the medicine of Christian Science is spiritual and its practice Christian.

We have no record of Jesus studying pathology or anatomy, or of his disciples, save one, Luke, who was formerly a physician, but who subsequently gave up medicine to learn the practice of Christian healing under Jesus' teaching. Nor have we any account of Jesus having to diagnose any case physically; yet he healed every form of disease and sin, by the power of God, Spirit, and said to His followers. "The works that I do shall ye do," and "These signs shall follow them that believe."
