For more than thirty years I suffered from chronic inflammation of the stomach, and neuralgia. I was unable to eat any solid food for many years. For one year I lived on milk curded with pepsin, and when that failed, I believed, as well as my friends, that I could live but a short time longer. The doctors said they could do nothing more for me. Then I was asked to try Christian Science, but I had no faith in it, for I supposed it would fail, as every other remedy had. I had no idea what it was, but I had been told that Christian Scientists were heartless, and that they did ridiculous things; still, as a last resort, I consented to try it to satisfy my husband, and I am sure that he was as skeptical as I, that I could get any help in that direction. When, however, a practitioner came to me she made it so clear that God did not make evil, and that He fills all space, that I lost all sense of sin and suffering, and found the God who is Love, and that healed me.

The next morning I ate pork steak for breakfast, without any bad effect from it but with a good deal of relish, and for eight years I have eaten whatever I want without harm from it. I have taken no medicine of any kind since I was healed. Previous to that I was a slave to medicine.

I thank God for this great truth that has been revealed to me through our Leader, and for the kind and loving patience that my practitioner has had in showing me the way.
