In grateful acknowledgment for the many blessings received...
In grateful acknowledgment for the many blessings received through Christian Science, I would like to tell something of what it has done for me.
I would also like to relate a very encouraging experience I had the first time I gave my testimony in a meeting, which will show that we cannot tell what good we are withholding from others by not giving to them what we know is true, and has helped us.
Several years ago in our church in London, England, after many struggles, I got up to speak. I knew that I had been healed and could say so. I got up in fear and trembling and told of my healing, but have never been able to remember just what I said. To my great surprise, a lady came up to me after the meeting and asked me if I could lend her Science and Health,—the book I had spoken about. She said she was much interested in what I had said and would like to come and see me. She did so, and told me she was the wife of a physician. She had a few treatments and was healed after being pronounced incurable by her husband and other physicians, and after that she came quite frequently, bringing some others to be healed for whom the doctors could do nothing. I could tell of many beautiful demonstrations that came through that testimony given with such great timidity.
