I wish to tell of what Christian Science did for me at the birth of my last baby. I sent for the Scientist who was to be with me, and told her that I felt the time had come for the baby to be born, but I had no pain. After she was with me a short time I told her I was waiting to have some pain. She smiled and said everything would be all right. About this time my mother, who is opposed to Christian Science because she does not understand it, came into the room and declared that I must be suffering, as it was impossible for a child to be born without pain, and while she was there I did suffer. She went out, and after a few minutes baby was born. I had suffered with soreness of the breast severely at previous births but this trouble was entirely overcome.
I had occasion to have three teeth extracted. I had always had a great dread of having dentistry done, and could not seem to overcome the fear, so asked for help. I made an appointment and when the day came I went as free and happy as if were going to church, and the teeth were taken out with practically no pain.
For these and many other proofs of God's loving care I feel deeply grateful.—B. S. H., West Somerville, Mass.
