I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science...

I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. It was in April, 1884. that I first heard of it, and after listening for two evenings to talks on Christian Science, and learning what it would do for sick and suffering humanity, my husband urged me to take treatment. I did so, and was healed in three weeks of troubles from which I had suffered for many years, for I had never been strong.

When I commenced taking treatment I was advised to get Science and Health, which I did, yet I wondered how the reading of a book could aid in healing disease. As I read, a new light began to dawn on my thought, although I did not grasp its meaning at once. I saw, however, that the book taught us how to look to God for help in a way I had never known before.

About two years after being healed my husband and myself had the privilege of class instruction, and we have had many opportunities of proving this truth.

I might mention many cases of physical healing, but while these seem so wonderful to material sense, the spiritual help that has been received by us is far greater and more wonderful.

I thank God that He has given us a Leader who, through her love and self-sacrifice, is showing us how to do the works that Jesus said we could do. This line from one of Mrs.

Eddy's hymns is ever my prayer, "Shepherd, show me how to go" (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 397).
