I am often reminded of the years I spent under the yoke of the taskmaster, sadness. It is now eight years since Christian Science was introduced into our home, and I shall not attempt to number the blessings and real joys I have had during this period. Our precious text-book, Science and Health, is answering all my questions as to the whys and wherefores which were constantly confronting me, and which no one could answer satisfactorily.

The Bible was a closed book to me, seldom taken from its place among other books. Now, I love to read it, and believe in its teachings, because part has been proven true to me.

I am truly grateful to our beloved Leader for giving her wonderful books to a suffering world. I am also grateful for our periodicals including Der Christian Science Herold. They all help to feed us as the manna fed the children of Israel in their journey through the wilderness.—Mrs. Augusta J. Lilie, Chenoa, Ill.
