Legislation in So. Dakota
THE following is taken from a correspondent's report of the endeavor to pass a bill at the last session of the legislature. The bill had been read once and was the second order of business on the reassembling of the legislature after a few days' recess.—ED.
The part of Section 21, to which we took exceptions, read as follows:—
"When a person shall ... recommend, prescribe, or direct for the use of any person, any drug, medicine, apparatus, or other agency for the cure, relief, or palliation of any ailment or disease of the mind or body, or for the cure or relief of any wound, fracture, or bodily injury or deformity, after having received, or with intent of receiving therefor, either directly or indirectly, any bonus, gift, or compensation, he shall be regarded as practising within the meaning of this act."
