After all is said, are not results the best proof of any system? Christian Science owes its existence, its marvelous growth, its present prosperity, to results, the constant and ever-increasing demonstrations of its healing efficacy. Its adherents are people very many of whom had been given up as incurable by "regular" physicians. That they are alive and well to-day speaks volumes for Christian Science.

This is a practical age, consequently a practical, health-giving, and health-preserving religion meets with ready acceptance. And neither misunderstanding, prejudice, nor intolerance can stay its progress. It has to-day encircled the globe and is fulfilling the Scriptural injunction, "Go ye into all the world" and preach the gospel, "Heal the sick."

JOHN L. RENDALL.
In Fairfield (Ia.) Ledger.

In life—not death—
Hearts need fond words to help them on their way;
Need tender thoughts and gentle sympathy,
Caresses, pleasant looks, to cheer each passing day.
Then hoard them not until they useless be.

In life—not death—
Speak kindly. Living hearts need sympathy.
