I want to be among those who return to give God praise. I took up the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" about three months ago, at the urgent solicitation of an old acquaintance, having lost, as the result of experience, all faith in any material power to reach my case.

My case was diagnosed fifteen years ago by a very reputable physician as hay fever, asthma. He said, "If you have an inherited tendency toward consumption your asthmatic condition will eventually carry you into a consumptive's grave," and when I talked to theologians upon the subject of present and future existence, they would in turn suggest that it was God's will for me to have these bodily infirmities. All the time I was fighting the idea of its being God's law, and I began with a willingness to try to find a better way. While realizing the many beautiful assurances given by our dear Leader, I kept my Bible near at hand to prove their correctness, and then my sad heart took courage.

I wrote to a dear friend of mine, having seen his name among the Christian Science practitioners in the Journal. He at once responded in a manly and noble way, and gave me the facts of his wonderful healing through the agency of Christian Science. His letter came as a revelation to me, conveying as it did the information that his daughter, seeing his improvement, had given up the study of medicine and entered upon the higher study of Mind. I was assured by him that my hay fever would be a thing of the past, providing I continued my earnest study of Divine Science. I want to testify in all earnestness that I found Science and Health to be indeed the Key to the Scriptures.
