THE Executive Members of the Mother Church will please accept my heartfelt acknowledgment of their beautiful gift to me,—a Loving Cup,—presented July 16, 1903. The exquisite design of boughs encircling this cup, illustrated by Keats' touching couplet, would almost suggest that Nature had reproduced her primal presence, bough, bird, and song to salute me. The twelve beautiful pearls that crown this cup, call to mind the number of our great Master's first disciples, and the parable of the priceless pearl which purchases our field of labor in exchange for all else.
While I treasure my Loving Cup, with all its sweet associations, who shall say that Mrs. Eddy is fond of her cups!
MARY BAKER G. EDDY.
