The following testimonial was sent by Mr. H. to an old friend, now living in Hoopeston, Ill., and with his consent it was originally published in the Hoopeston Herald.

I first heard of Christian Science about eleven years ago. At that time our little girl, six months old then, was healed of a trouble of the nature of asthma in two treatments, after two physicians had failed, but notwithstanding the benefit so quickly received, we paid no further attention to the Science, and several years later we lost a boy eleven years of age. After his loss my wife took treatment for nervous prostration and heart trouble, and was quickly healed. For some time after Mrs. H. took treatment I paid no particular attention to the Science, but finally began to read Science and Health. After reading about thirty-five pages I put the book down, as I did not seem to understand it. After a while I started again to read; this was after I had attended some of the meetings, and then I seemed to grasp a little understanding of it. I was unconsciously healed of dyspepsia, and of course gained in every other way.
