Only one who has suffered the consequences of sin wilfully pursued, with all the attendant hate, malice, envy, and jealousy, can understand how severe is their punishment.

Last summer I was attacked by a great sense of nervousness and fear. I thought if I should take a little vacation and place myself under the care of a physician I would soon recover, but as time went on I grew worse, lost all appetite, and could not rest at night. At last my faith in material means was exhausted, and I knew that I must have help from some other source. I found it in Christian Science.

After my first treatment I was much better and in about a month I was perfectly well. Since that I have been healed of many other troubles, one, the habit of chewing and smoking tobacco. This habit simply left me while reading Science and Health.

The physical benefit was very great indeed, but the spiritual quickening, I think, was still greater. I am very thankful to Mrs. Eddy for the Science she has given us, and to the practitioner who helped me in time of need.
