Many testimonies as to the value and practical working of Christian Science are given in ordinary conversation between Scientists. A friend said to me, "Christian Science is a practical religion." He had experienced its value in daily life. Another said, "I am much happier than before coming into Science, my health is much better and my business goes much more smoothly;" and he added, "Any one who has gained even a slight understanding of the truth that makes free, will find that many bad habits which he had heretofore indulged in, have left him."

Onlookers will notice these changes, but unless they are gaining an understanding themselves they reason erroneously as to the cause. It seems to me that it is well for any one who is studying Science to take a retrospective view and try to see wherein he is gaining.

Five years ago, business conditions with me were most discordant, especially in regard to my cattle and horses, and the change for the better dates from the time that I turned to Christian Science.
