Christian Science was first brought to me by my dear aunt who was my healer. She has had some beautiful demonstrations in our family, one being in connection with childbirth, my last baby being born under Christian Science treatment. I had no one with me but my mother-in-law, and it was all over so soon that we could not have had any one in such a short time. Our baby has never tasted medicine and is one and a half years old. She has never had colic or any of those ailments that mortal mind is heir to. She has twelve teeth, and is in perfect health.
I have two older children and at their birth had two doctors, lay sick four or five days and at last had to submit to the use of instruments. Thanks to Truth and to my dear helper, for the light that has now come into our home.
I must speak of another very beautiful demonstration, that was with our little boy. When he was two years old, his older brother was chopping with an axe and accidentally cut off the baby's middle finger at the first joint, and the end of the finger was left lying on the log. I did nothing, only tie it up, and wrote for help in Christian Science. I do not remember how long it was until it was well, but it is healed and grown out the full length, and is as perfect as all the rest, even without a scar.
