A Refutation
Boston Herald
It is rumored that Mr. Horace T. Wentworth attempts to bolster up what history has contradicted, that the Rev. Mary Baker G. Eddy received her knowledge of Christian Science from Dr. Quimby, by saying that he heard her so declare; and that, in this connection, he says, "These facts are well known to Mr. Farlow;" also that he says, "and he stated to me that he believed what we had told him to be true."
When I visited Stoughton I did not see Mr. Wentworth at all, and never saw him but once; that was when he voluntarily called at my office some months later and told me his story about Mrs. Eddy. I did not then believe it, I do not now believe it, and I did not say to him that I believed it.
