I would like to give my testimony in return for the many which have been helpful to me. I was healed in 1898 of tumor and of spasms, the latter supposed to be brought on by the pressure of the tumor against the spinal cord. I had as many as five and six spasms daily, and if I walked across the floor and jarred myself in the least, I fell screaming in a spasm, suffering untold agony.
I had about lost all hope when Christian Science found me, as the doctor had told me that there was no help for me. I had also some kind of stomach trouble, so that swallowing any solid food would cause acute suffering. My mother heard of Christian Science and begged me to try it, saying that it would do me no harm any way. Although I was prejudiced against any religion but my own orthodox belief, I at last consented, to please my mother although I made light of it, and told the practitioner that I thought it absurd to suppose that she could help me. She told me that God could heal me, and this I believed, though I then thought He would not.
I was healed in just three treatments of the tumor spasms, and the stomach trouble. All my other ailments disappeared after a time.
