As a slight expression of gratitude for many blessings received through Christian Science in the past year and a half, I offer this testimony for the Sentinel columns.

About a year ago, one Saturday afternoon I had a garment to finish for some one who was to leave on the evening train. I really had plenty of time, but I listened to error, and allowed a sense of hurry to creep in, and in feeding the machine while stitching rapidly, my finger got in the way and the needle went through the end of it breaking with such a loud report that my mother, who was down stairs, came up to see what was the matter. I was so frightened I trembled all over as I looked down at my finger, which was white and numb. The first thing I thought of to declare was, There is no matter. Then began denying laws of belief, such as pain, soreness, discoloration, swelling, inflammation, etc., realizing the one Law God—harmony. A few drops of blood came, but it never hurt was never sore, inflamed, swollen, or discolored.

Thanks for Christian Science, which is a balm for every wound, whether mental of physical. Peace and joy to the dear woman who has borne so much that all mankind might have this blessing. Divine "Love never faileth," and will be with her always.
