Letters to Mrs. Eddy

12 Merrion Square, Dublin, Ireland. Dearly Loved Leader:—May a young student this side of the water send a little tribute of gratitude for the love which prompted the gift of the new Concordance? Already it has led me to deeper study of the Bible and Science and Health, and has opened out new vistas on some subjects which I had not been able to study so profitably before.

As I try to be faithful each day to the teachings of Christian Science I appreciate more and more what your life and work have been. This "Knowledge of Christ" which you have revealed means so much to me now, and I just pray from hour to hour that I may become more like a little child and live as Jesus lived—so simply, sweetly, and tenderly reflecting Love that the sick will be healed, the sorrowing comforted, and the sinful uplifted through the gentle radiance of the Light, and through faithful work "in rebuking sin, in true brotherliness, charitableness, and forgiveness" (Church Manual).

With loving gratitude from a great grandchild. Constance Gibson.
