Christian Science has brought so much peace to me, and has done so much for me that I find it difficult to express my gratitude in words. I had been a great sufferer since the birth of my first child more than twenty years ago. I also suffered from stomach trouble, neuralgia, and many other diseases inherited from my mother, not having learned as yet that I have one parent,—God.
I left my home in the east and came west, thinking I would find health this side of the Rockies. I was a member of the Christian Church for years and tried to live up to its teachings. I was told I must be patients, that suffering would purify me and make me better for the world to . come. However, I was not patient and did not love God as I should, and as I now do, for I thought that He knew, and sent my suffering upon me. I am very thankful for Christian Science which has taught me that I may be free from sickness, as I come to understand that it comes not from the right thought of God, but the wrong thought of man.
Mrs. Edna L. Smith, Salt Lake City, Utah.
