"Thy Will be Done."

Before taking up the study of Christian Science, it was my conviction that all sickness, affliction, sorrow, accidents, and, in brief, all the ills that flesh is heir to, were the direct will of God, and were sent by Him as a punishment for sins that sometimes one did not know had been committed. I was unable to reconcile such conditions with the thought of a kind, tender, loving God and Father, whom I thought of as away off above the clouds somewhere. During the past year I have learned in Christian Science that "Thy will be done" means that we shall be perfectly well and healthy; in perfect peace and happiness; free from all the ills of mortal mind; free from all fear that this, that, or the other thing is going to strike us, for God, our Father is here, and this is His kingdom of heaven where all is peace, holiness, harmony, and happiness, and we are now in His kingdom, going on from glory to glory as we throw off the unreal, material thought of life and take on the real, spiritual thought, doing His will by following in the footsteps of our blessed Master, who trod every step of the way for our sakes, manifesting love, goodness, meekness, brotherliness; comforting and healing the sick and suffering children of men, and giving to them the bread of Life.

The peace and blessing of God be upon our dear Mother, who revealed unto us the true meaning of "Thy will be done."
