Sin and Sickness Healed
I was badly afflicted with chronic stomach trouble and palpitation of the heart. I had been troubled more or less with these diseases for several years. About three years ago I was taken with the grip. This left me in a still worse condition than before. I doctored for three years but received no benefit. In 1900 I heard of Christian Science. I went to New London to see a Scientist and took treatment. I was benefited at once and in five treatments I was healed. The Scientist then advised me to buy "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which she knew would do me good. The Scientist knew that I was still clinging to a sin which at that time I was not willing to drop.
I continued in the old way for a time when I was stricken with paralysis. I again took Christian Science treatment and in two treatments was healed, not only of paralysis, but also of the sin which I was laboring under. That sin was the liquor habit. I was then ready to buy Science and Health. I thank Mrs. Eddy for giving us this book from which we may learn to help ourselves, and I also wish to say that I appreciate the patience shown me by the Scientists, for where there was once darkness now there is light.—Miron S. Greeley, Stephensville, Wis.
