Harmonious Business Relations
For the past five years Christian Science has been my stay and comfort. It transformed me from an invalid to a healthy woman, again able to do any kind of work. Contentment, which had so long been foreign to me, has once more entered my being. I cannot begin to count the many spiritual blessings that have accrued from the practical use of this glorious Truth. "Whereas I was blind, now I see."
I desire to give one demonstration, as an illustration of what this Science, methodically applied, can do. Some few months ago, I entered business dealings with a family who were regarded by their neighbors as being exacting and unjust. One member of the family was insane and had been to an asylum several times.
It was said that for fifteen years people had tried to do business with them, and by the time one member of the family agreed the other would enter decided opposition. Every time obstacles seemingly arose to undo all my labor and patience with those people, I went to work so much the harder; that is, left off doing or saying anything, and met my claims silently. Finally Truth won the day, and justice is done to all concerned. The deal was closed to the satisfaction of all, and I give Christian Science the credit. It is needless to say that the parties in question have themselves gained higher inspirations, as even the insane man shows that he wants to work now, and has improved wonderfully. I did not admit for a moment that any of these claims of error were real.
