Tobacco and Liquor Habits Destroyed
Early in January, 1896, I was badly afflicted with chronic nervous dyspepsia, and palpitation of the heart. I had been troubled more or less with these diseases for several years, but the attack in 1896 became so serious that I placed myself under treatment with one of the best homoeopathic stomach specialists in Buffalo. This doctor treated me for about thirteen months; but I did not improve; in fact was worse than when I began treatment with him.
By the advice of a friend I tried a noted allopath, who said my trouble was gastritis. This man tried all kinds of drugs on me, but after five months' treatment I was no better — had received no benefit at all.
It was then I heard of Christian Science. I placed myself under Christian Science treatment at once and received immediate benefit. Threw away all my great store of drugs, and was able to eat anything and enjoy my food. I had used tobacoo for thirty-seven years. I had also indulged in liquor. These evil habits, with the use of profane language, disappeared in a very short time. Through knowing the Truth I was also able to put away my glasses, which I had worn seven years. I had a number of other troubles, such as bronchitis, inflammatory rheumatism, all of which have been healed.
